I installed or upgraded Secure Backup and Share and everything stopped working.

On rare occasions, anti-virus software incorrectly detects Secure Backup and Share software as a virus and deletes the Secure Backup and Share.sys, Secure Backup and Share.flt, or oem.dll files, which renders Secure Backup and Share unusable.

Some of our users have recently encountered this with their Avast anti-software application. If Avast is running when you install or upgrade the Secure Backup and Share client, a message will pop up prompting you to delete, quarantine, or ignore the "virus" (Secure Backup and Share) found. You must choose "ignore" for Secure Backup and Share to function.

We are currently working with Avast, and other anti-virus vendors, to correct this problem, and an upcoming Avast release should resolve the issue and remove Secure Backup and Share from their blacklist. If you have already encountered this error and chose to delete the Secure Backup and Share files through Avast, please wait for their update shortly to correct the issue.
