Sharing a Collection, Photo Album, or Playlist

When you want to share a collection, photo album, or playlist with a secure Web link, ensure that the access permission you have set for these items is Unlisted or Sign-Up Required.

To send an email invitation to share a collection, photo album, or playlist:

  1. In Comcast Vault, open one of these pages.
    • Everything
    • Photos
    • Music
  2. Select a collection, photo album, or playlist and perform one of the following actions:
    • Click in the bottom toolbar.
    • Right-click a collection, photo album, or playlist and select Share.

    The Share dialog box appears.

  3. In the To field, type the email address of the person you want to invite. Separate multiple email addresses with semicolons.
    Note: As you type, the field autocompletes email addresses of contacts imported from your Comcast Universal Address Book.
  4. In the Subject field, type a subject for the email.
  5. In the Note field, type a message to the person you are inviting.
  6. Click Share.

The invitation to share the collection, photo album, or playlist is emailed. Any new contacts that you specified in the email are automatically added to your Local Address Book.

Music files cannot be downloaded or played from shared playlists or collections.

Note: Comcast Vault creates an email item for every message that you send. These files appear on the Everything page.
