Introduction
Comcast Vault provides online access to manage and share your information backed up with Secure Backup and Share. This topic introduces concepts and terminology that you will come across frequently.

Home Page
The home page is the first page you see after you sign in to your Comcast Vault account. This page shows a consolidated view of your information backed up with Secure Backup and Share. It provides quick links for organizing and sharing your files, and even runs a random slideshow of your backed-up photos.
To access the home page from any Comcast Vault page, click

Explore Comcast Vault by clicking the options on this page.
- Click
to see all your backup files,
including your music and photos. You can sort and filter your files here and
group them into File Collections for quick access later.
- Click
to see all the photos you have
backed up. You can switch the photos view between list view and thumbnails
view. You can sort and filter your photos here and group them into Photo
Albums.
- Click
to see all the music files you
have backed up. You can sort and filter your music here and create Music
Playlists. You can also play your online music files while you are here.
- Click
to open the Sharing Center, where
you can manage all your shared files, collections, photo albums, and playlists,
and assign access permissions to them.

to open the address book. Create
new contacts here, and edit them. Share your files with contacts from your
address book.
- Click Upload to browse and upload files from your computer to your online Comcast Vault account.
- Click Settings to make changes to your Comcast Vault account settings.

- Secure Backup and Share Usage shows an overview of your Secure Backup and Share account usage.

Collection
A collection is a group of files you create. Collections can contain any files you choose, including music, photos, videos, documents, and so on.
You can see and edit your collections on the Everything page. You can assign access permissions to your collections and share them in the Sharing Center and on the Everything page.

Photo Album
A photo album is a group of photo files you create. On the Photos page, you can categorize your pictures and group them into albums.
You can assign access permissions to your photo albums and share them in the Sharing Center and on the Photos page.

Playlist
A playlist is a group of music files you create. On the Music page, you can categorize your music and create playlists.
You can assign access permissions to your playlists and share them in the Sharing Center and on the Music page.

Smart Collection, Smart Photo Album, and Smart Playlist
Smart collections are dynamic collections of any files that are created based on a view or on search criteria. Smart collections, photo albums, and playlists are automatically updated whenever you back up new items to your Secure Backup and Share account that match the criteria of a smart collection, photo album, or playlist.
You can share smart collections, smart photo albums, and smart playlists just as you would any normal collection, photo album or playlist.

Everything Page
On the Everything page, you can access, organize, and share all your Secure Backup and Share backup files, no matter what type they are. You can use the Everything page to preview, filter, search, tag, hide, create, and share normal and smart file collections.
Photos Page
On the Photos page, you can access, view, organize, and share all your backed-up photos. You can use the Photos page to filter, search, tag, hide, and create static and smart photo albums. You can also rotate photos, preview, and share them from here.
Music Page
On the Music page, you can access, play, organize, and share all your backed-up music files. You can use the Music page to filter, search, tag, hide, and create static and smart playlists. You can even play music using the built-in music player, and share your customized playlists from here.
Address Book
On the Address Book page, you can create, edit, organize, and share content with your backed-up contacts. You can also search and tag contacts.
