Disabling Internet Access to Files You Choose

You can disable the secure direct link (URL) to any of your files which you had previously shared.

To disable the URL for an item, collection, photo album, or playlist:

  1. In Comcast Vault, open the Sharing Center page.
  2. In the Access pane, click the appropriate access type. All the active links shared using the selected access type are shown in the main pane.
  3. Select the item to which you want to disable access, and then click in the top toolbar. A confirmation message appears.
  4. Click OK to disable access to the item.

The shared link to the item is disabled and anyone trying to access the item using a previously shared link is denied access.

Tip:
  • If you click , the Invitees tab in the Properties dialog box shows the email addresses of contacts with whom you have shared links (Sign-Up Required).

Select Unshare for an email address and click OK to disable the link for that email address.
  • You can also disable a secure link to a file from the Properties dialog box and the Manage Direct Link dialog box.
