Using Views to Create Smart Collections, Albums, and Playlists

To create a smart collection, smart photo album, or a smart playlist based on a view:

In Comcast Vault, open one of these pages.
- Everything
- Photos
- Music
In the View By pane, select a view, then click . For example, if you wanted to create a smart collection based on a folder, you would select the Folders view in the View by pane, then select the folder to make a smart collection from.
To create a smart collection, photo album, or playlist, perform one of the following actions.
- Click .
- Right-click the view you selected and select either New Smart Collection, New Smart Photo Album, or New Smart Playlist.
The dialog box for creating a smart collection, photo album, or playlist appears.
In the Title field, enter a name for the new smart collection, photo album, or playlist.
In the Description field, type a short description for the new smart collection, photo album, or playlist.
Select one of the following access permissions.
- Public - Items shared as Public can be accessed by all. These files will be found by Web search engines.
- Unlisted - Items shared as Unlisted can be accessed by all, but cannot be found by Web search engines.
- Sign-Up Required - Items shared as Sign-Up Required can be accessed by guest users only after signing up with Comcast Vault.
Note: Collections with music and video files can only be shared with guest users who have been invited using the Sign-up Required option. If you are creating a playlist from the Music page, you do not have the option for access permissions. In addition, music files cannot be downloaded or played from shared playlists or collections.
Click Create.

A new smart collection, photo album, or playlist is created with the name you specified.
