Sharing Photo Albums on Facebook

You can connect your Comcast Vault account with your Facebook profile and publish and share your photo albums on Facebook. You can share your photo albums irrespective of the permissions you have set for them in Comcast Vault - Public, Unlisted, or Sign-Up Required. You can specify the Facebook privacy settings when you publish the Comcast Vault photo album to Facebook.

When you add new photos to a photo album shared with Facebook, it is automatically published to the shared Facebook album.

Note: In Facebook, if you add photos to any of the albums that were shared from Comcast Vault, the photos are not published to your Comcast Vault account.

To share a photo album on Facebook:

  1. In Comcast Vault, open the Photos page.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Right-click the album that you want to share on Facebook and select Publish to Facebook.
    • Select an album and click in the bottom toolbar.
If you have not yet connected your Comcast Vault account with your Facebook account, you will be taken through the connection process. For more information, see Setting Up a Facebook Connection. The Publish to Facebook dialog box appears.
  3. In the Title field, specify a different name for the album if required.
Note: If you disconnect and reconnect with Facebook and re-publish the same album later, you cannot rename the album.
  4. In the Description field, enter a description for the album that will be shared on Facebook.
  5. Select one of the following Facebook access permissions:
    • Only Friends
    • Friends of Friends
    • Everyone

The Comcast Vault photo album is published to your Facebook profile with the name and description you specified. A message is published to your Facebook wall. It may take a few minutes for the album to be published to Facebook. The symbol next to the album in Comcast Vault indicates that the publishing process is in progress.
Note: You cannot share your smart photo albums on Facebook.
