Sharing Files, Photos, or Music Files

To share files, photos, or music files:

  1. In Comcast Vault, open one of these pages.
    • Everything
    • Photos
    • Music
  2. Select one or more files, photos, or music files and then perform one of the following actions:
    • Click in the top toolbar.
      Note: This button is not available on the Music page.
    • Right-click the selected files and select Share.
    The Create Collection, Create Album, or Create Playlist dialog box appears.
  3. Enter the required details and select an access permission.
    • Public - Items shared as Public can be accessed by all. These files will be found by Web search engines.
    • Unlisted - Items shared as Unlisted can be accessed by all, but cannot be found by Web search engines.
    • Sign-Up Required - Items shared as Sign-Up Required can be accessed by guest users only after signing up with Comcast Vault.
    Note: Music files cannot be downloaded or played from shared playlists or collections.
  4. Click Continue.

    The Share dialog box appears.

  5. In the To field, type the email address of the person you want to invite. Separate multiple email addresses with semicolons.
    Note: As you type, the field autocompletes email addresses of contacts imported from your Comcast Universal Address Book
  6. In the Subject field, type a subject for the email.
  7. In the Note field, type a message to the person you are inviting.
  8. Click Share. An email is sent with links to the files that you selected to share.

The invitation to share the files, photos, or music file is emailed. Any new contacts that you specified in the email are automatically added to your Local Address Book.
