Uploading Files to Your Comcast Vault Account

You can manually upload files and folders from your computer to your Comcast Vault account using a Web browser. For occasionally uploading specific files, this is an alternative to Secure Backup and Share Desktop Client.

Your subscription license type determines if you can upload files manually from your computer to your Comcast Vault account. Contact Technical Support at support@comcastvault.net for help.

Files that you upload using the Upload page are stored in a Direct Web Upload folder in your account.

To upload files from your computer:

  1. In Comcast Vault, click Upload in the upper-right corner of any page. The Upload page opens in a new window.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Click Add.

Browse and select files and folders from your computer that you want to upload and click Open. They are listed in the Select Files to Upload area.

    • Drag and drop files or folders that you want to upload, into the Select Files to Upload area.
    • Copy a file or a folder that you want to upload, and paste it in the Select Files to Upload area.
Hold the Shift or Ctrl key to select multiple files. You can also select and remove files from the list by clicking Remove.
  3. Click Upload to start uploading the selected files. As the selected files are uploaded, you can view the upload progress in the status area.
  4. Anytime during the upload process, you may cancel upload by clicking Cancel. Upload of only the files still pending upload is canceled. Files already uploaded stay uploaded and are indicated with a green highlight.
Note: As the uploaded files are verified before they are available in Comcast Vault, you may need to wait a few minutes before you see them in the Direct Web Upload folder in the Everything page.
